Summary
Channel Islands YMCA manages class schedules across multiple branches, facilities, and activity types, from group exercise and pool schedules to gyms, courts, and Childwatch. When the organization decided to move from GroupEx Pro to YMCA 360, it needed to bring that new data into the website quickly without creating another complex integration to maintain.
Deyra provided a simpler path. Schedules Finder now connects live YMCA 360 data with 25 widgets across relevant branch and activity pages, giving members schedule information in the context where they are already looking for it. The YMCA team completed the transition without additional technical work on its side and gained a setup that is easier to extend, support, and measure over time.
- 25

The Challenge
When Channel Islands YMCA decided to move from Group Ex Pro to YMCA 360, the change reached far beyond a single schedule page. Members were already using different parts of the website to find group exercise classes, pool times, gym availability, court schedules, and Childwatch across multiple branches.
The new setup had to preserve those focused journeys while connecting them to a new source of schedule data. A member visiting a branch page should see relevant options immediately, while someone who uses two locations should still be able to broaden their search. Different pages also needed different starting points, labels, and activity categories. The YMCA team was clear that these details mattered to how members actually find classes.
Speed mattered too. The organization was working toward a defined transition date and needed a practical way to bring YMCA 360 schedules onto the website without creating another custom integration project. The previous embedded approach had required fixes and could affect website performance; rebuilding similar functionality inside the site would mean more development, testing, and long-term maintenance.
The Solution
Deyra gave Channel Islands YMCA a way to change the source of its schedule data without rebuilding schedule functionality inside the website. The initial integration connected Schedules Finder to YMCA 360, while the Deyra team handled the setup needed to support the YMCA’s existing branch and activity journeys.
Live Schedules Built Around How Members Look
Today, 25 Deyra widgets bring YMCA 360 data into specific pages across the website. Some are built around a branch and activity, such as group exercise at Montecito or pool schedules at Ventura. Others support focused needs such as Childwatch, gyms, courts, and racquetball.
Each widget can start with the relevant location or category already selected, so members often arrive at a useful set of classes immediately instead of filtering a large organization-wide schedule. Where broader discovery matters, filters can remain available, allowing someone who visits more than one branch to expand their search.
Members can move across dates, search current schedules, open class details, check availability, and continue to registration. They can also add classes to their calendar or download schedules as PDFs. When someone opens a class, current details are fetched in real time from the connected system rather than relying only on information already loaded on the page.
Behind the scenes, each widget is configured in Deyra Console and added to the relevant page with an embed code. This gives the YMCA a repeatable way to support different branches and activities without building each schedule journey as separate custom website functionality.
Learning From How Members Use Schedules
Analytics & Insights adds something the previous schedule setup was missing: visibility into what members actually do once they begin looking for a class. The YMCA can see which classes attract registration interest, what people search for, how far ahead they plan, and which categories are commonly explored together.
That data helps the team look beyond overall traffic. Strong interest in a class with limited registration activity can point to friction later in the journey. Repeated searches can show where popular options deserve more visibility. Usage of Add to Calendar and Download PDF can reveal how members plan around schedules after finding a relevant class.
Over time, the YMCA can use these patterns to refine schedule pages around real member behavior rather than assumptions, while gaining a clearer view of how class discovery contributes to registration.
We had a lot of different schedule pages to think about, from group exercise and pools to gyms, courts, and Childwatch. Deyra gave us a way to move to YMCA 360 without having to rebuild all of that from scratch, and we could still shape each page around how our members actually use it.
The Result
Channel Islands YMCA completed its scheduling transition with a setup that now supports more than 100,000 searches each month across 25 widgets. Members reach schedules shaped around the branch or activity they are exploring, while the YMCA team has moved from limited visibility into schedule usage to a clearer view of what people search for, plan around, and act on.
- Relevant From the Start Members often arrive with the right branch or activity already selected, reducing unnecessary filtering without limiting broader search. The experience also adapts across desktop and mobile, making it easier to browse classes wherever members are looking.
- Updates Appear Instantly Changes in YMCA 360 are synchronized with Deyra as they happen, keeping schedules current across all relevant widgets. The YMCA team no longer needs to repeat those updates across website pages or worry about different schedule views falling out of sync.
- Discovery Becomes Measurable The team can now see which classes attract attention, what members search for, how far ahead they browse, and where interest progresses toward registration. These patterns help reveal demand, friction, and opportunities to improve visibility.
- More Ways to Take Action Members can move from finding a class to viewing details and continuing toward registration, then use Add to Calendar or Download PDF to plan beyond the immediate visit. The YMCA can also see how these actions are used and where engagement is strongest.
What’s Next
The move to YMCA 360 solved an immediate need, but it also opened a broader conversation about how members find information across the website. Channel Islands YMCA is now exploring other Deyra solutions, including AI Assistant, to help people get immediate answers about memberships, programs, locations, policies, and services, then guide them to the right page or next step.
